ACTION KING (1) went forward last start and gave a great sight when second over 1100m at Ipswich. Should settle on the speed despite the draw. Goes very well at this journey, boasting three wins from five starts and should be in the finish. SICILIAN (4) returns from a spell of ten months and is having her first run for a new yard. Was a winner when fresh last campaign at Canterbury over 1100m. Fitter for a minor placing in a recent Deagon trial. Has found a suitable race and can take this out. WRITTLE (2) finished seventh two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 800m at Ipswich, beaten only one length after being in the firing line on the corner. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is right in contention. DEVASTATING (3) last appeared on September 28 when a good sixth over 1000m at Toowoomba, beaten 2.75 lengths. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with three minor placings. Makes plenty of appeal.
