BUCKEYE (3) resumed from a spell last start with a sound second over 1000m at Scone after being prominent at the corner. Must raise the bar but a big run will not surprise. GRAND EAGLE (2) is a two-start maiden who placed on debut then could only manage fourth last start, beaten 2.25 lengths over 1200m at Newcastle. The blinkers go on. Well placed and happy to have him on top. CHICAMA (4) was well held in the Golden Gift won by North England over 1100m at Rosehill at his last appearance five months ago. Big chance in this class. TELLING (1) pushed forward and was a determined winner by 0.8 lengths over 1000m at Muswellbrook last time out. Meets a tougher line-up this time but is not to be discounted.
