SPARTUS (5) broke through for his maiden win over 800m at this track last time, scoring comfortably. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Tricky draw to overcome but he can go on with it. GOLD FEVER (2) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 1000m at Sunshine Coast. Back-marker who keeps coming. Will prove hard to hold out. ADDITION (6) was last at the races when she finished sixth over 1650m at Doomben on October 9. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. ETUDE (11) is a consistent performer with three minor placings from four starts this campaign. Turned in another good effort last start when third over 1110m at Doomben. Nicely placed to take this out.
