THE MAGISTRATE (5) gets a change of rider and has been freshened up since finishing tenth over 1050m at Morphettville last start. Well placed to make amends. OVEREXTEND (2) finished fourth last start over 1000m at this track after racing on the pace for much of the way. Solid top-three claims. HOWL (1) finished seventh over 1050m at Morphettville at his most recent appearance on December 28. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
