CLIMATE CONTROL (7) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 30 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 1200m at Tamworth. Nicely placed to figure in the outcome. THE GREAT ARMADA (6) was an impressive winner last time over 1400m at Coonamble, stalking the pace before lengthening nicely to score by 2.25 lengths. Will be tough to rein in again. RUSSIAN ZARINA (8) ran a strong third over 1400m at Nowra two runs back then was below her best last time over 1500m when tenth, beaten 10 lengths. Looks better placed over this shorter trip so she is one of the main contenders. INVADER'S GIRL (10) finished third at Mudgee two runs back but was less effective last time over 1300m at Scone, finishing 5 lengths back in sixth. Best figures measure up nicely. Solid top-three prospects.
