LUTETIA (1) has been kept fresh since finishing in the minors over 1200m at Canterbury. Kept up to the mark with a recent Muswellbrook trial placing. Expected to go well if anywhere near her best. MERCANTILIST (5) impressed when successful as favourite on debut over 1200m at Gosford two-and-a-half weeks ago. Sure to improve and can make it back-to-back wins. PIPERITA (2) accounted for a maiden field over 1300m at Wyong last start when fresh from a break. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again. CHANNELLING (3) broke her maiden last start over 1400m at Kembla Grange, scoring by a head. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. This is tougher but she cannot be underestimated.
