DAKARAI (2) settled in a rearwards position and never came on when resuming last start, finishing fifth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 1200m at Pakenham. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. JOLTIN' JOE (5) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when seventh, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 1200m at Moonee Valley after he settled well back. Cherry-ripe now and is sure to be about the mark. LUCKY DUCK (7) improved sharply on her fourth two starts back at Pakenham with a win over 1200m at Ballarat three-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 0.8 lengths after she came from a long way back on straightening. Meeting a deeper field this time but she is good enough to play a major role. SUPPOSE I DO (6) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at Pakenham, beaten 4.5 lengths into fourth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
