Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. SMART SHOT (6) returned from a spell three-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 3.5 lengths into eighth over 1400m at this track. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Faces an easier assignment so he will prove hard to beat. INVASIVE DREAMS (8) made significant late ground last start to get up for third over 1350m at Wyong. Should be winding up late again. RED BERYL (11) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 7 lengths away in sixth over 1200m at this track. Better than recent efforts suggest.
