VENDANT (5) could only manage to finish fourth 35 days back in a hurdle (5000m) at Plumpton. That result followed a solid second in a hurdle (4360m) at this track two starts ago. Major player on his best form. ELIZA DOLITTLE (10) got the prize in a hurdle (4110m) at Plumpton two starts back then made no impression when beaten 31 lengths into sixth most recently in a hurdle (3200m) at Plumpton. Worth another chance. KANKIN (3) has failed to figure of late. Last start he missed the placings in a steeplechase (4000m) at Huntingdon. That came after he fell in a steeplechase (4240m) at Fakenham.
