EL NINO GUSTAVO (10) is on a quick turnaround after a solid second over 1200m at this track seven days ago. Jumps from a wide barrier but is likely to be in the finish. REY DEL ESTERO (6) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 1300m at Club Hipico De Santiago when second, beaten a nose. Has plenty of upside so he should be in the finish again. STAR MAGIC (3) is a four-start maiden who is well and truly overdue, finishing fourth at this track over 1200m last time out. Beautifully placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. JOHN COOPER (9) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1200m at this track. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out.
