EXCEL GRAND (1) closed last campaign with back-to-back placings, the last of which was at Kanazawa four-and-a-half months ago. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Will give a great sight. SILVER SADDLE (12) was comfortably accounted for when fourth last time out over 1400m at this track, beaten 4 lengths after being prominent at the turn. That followed a win at Urawa at the previous outing. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. MISSILE BISCUITS (2) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 6 lengths away in fifth over 2000m at Urawa. This is a nice drop in grade so she is sure to be prominent. SPRING NEIGE (13) settled well back from the inside draw last start before coming home nicely to finish 5.5 lengths away in sixth over 1400m at Urawa. Can feature in the finish.
