EQUUS VINCIT (3) finished third over 2400m at Lyon-la-Soie at his most recent appearance on December 2. One of the genuine hopes in the race. CHEESE (8) scored an impressive win by 7 lengths when resuming from a spell last time out over 2450m at Mont-de-Marsan. Will be better for that latest run and is among the leading chances. POCA GEN (1) never really threatened when resuming last time out, finishing midfield and beaten 7 lengths over 2400m at Pau All Weather. Must be respected. NIKOLAJ (2) was unplaced two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 2000m at Toulouse, beaten 3.5 lengths into seventh. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
