CHITON (12) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by 7 lengths over 1800m at this track. Should be close to the speed despite the draw. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot salute. TAISEI STRADA (5) has been in good form, scoring three back at Kawasaki then placing twice in a row, most recently finishing third over 2000m at Urawa. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. MACHIKAZE (3) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 9 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Nicely placed to find winning form. KITANO SERENADE (11) returned from a spell two weeks ago when he was beaten 7 lengths into seventh over 1600m at this track. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts.
