CALYPSO KING (10) finished fifth over 1800m at Chantilly All Weather at his most recent appearance on December 30. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. DOM BERTRAND (11) missed the placings two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 1600m at Cagnes-sur-Mer All Weather, beaten only 2 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. TALISMAN TOUCH (16) didn't do a bad job when second last start over 1600m at Toulouse, beaten 2.5 lengths. That followed a win at Cagnes-sur-Mer the start prior. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. GRAND BALCON (6) finished sixth last time out over 2150m at Cagnes-sur-Mer, beaten 9 lengths. Goes very well at this trip with two wins from four starts. Definite player.
