PURLER PATCH (5) was thereabouts last time out when fourth over 1400m at Pakenham. Won at his only start at this longer journey. Expected to run well. GLENFINNAN (2) was well in commission last time but ran below expectations when fourth and beaten 2.25 lengths over 1600m at Pakenham. Should park just off the speed. Sure to be competitive. NEW YORK SCANDAL (7) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 1.5 lengths over 2040m at Moonee Valley. Suitably placed so anticipating another bold showing.
