Well placed and should be in the finish. MAGIC PHAROAH (5) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish sixth, beaten 5 lengths, over 1880m at Newcastle. One of the main contenders. HOW'S IT KEV (1) ran below expectations last start, finishing fifth and beaten 2.25 lengths at Parkes over 1400m. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
