FIRST MAID (5) ran well below her best last time over 1050m at Oakbank, beaten 3.5 lengths into seventh at $4.80. Backmarker who gets home hard. One of the leading chances. ALFANO (13) settled well back and never threatened when eighth over 1350m at this track last time out. Meets some better types this time but a big run will not surprise. THE INEOS (9) tackled city class last start when ninth over 1000m at Morphettville Parks. Blinkers added; should be competitive. ELDERBERRY (1) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a seventh over 1000m at Morphettville Parks. Best figures measure up nicely. Capable of a strong performance.
