ZOUTONS (9) sat on the pace and stuck on well to score by 2.5 lengths at this track and distance last start in a much improved run. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is up to the challenge. CATALINA BLUE (10) came home strongly last start to finish third, beaten one length, over 1050m at Oakbank. Has won four races at this course and distance from eight tries. Leading contender. ALPHA FLIGHT (7) finished second last start over 1000m at Broken Hill, beaten 3.5 lengths. Taking on a better line-up this time but he cannot be ruled out. PRESCIENT (6) finished a 1.75 lengths sixth on turf at this track two starts ago. Much better last time though, following up with success on the dirt at Penong over 1200m three weeks ago. Hard to knock recent form. Worth plenty of thought again.
