VOL AU VENT (10) has been out of the frame at his last couple of runs, last time finishing 14 lengths away in sixth over 1800m. Has found the JRA circuit beyond him lately. Should feature back to this level. TIMELESS (4) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1700m at Kokura Dirt, beaten 13 lengths into 11th. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. IL VIGORE (6) didn't do a lot on debut a month ago, finishing 8 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1800m at Tokyo. Open to plenty of improvement. Expected to do much better. MAGICAL RAINBOW (1) was in a rearwards position on the turn last time out before finishing 24 lengths back in seventh over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. Looks to be in the right race to figure in the finish.
