LARIUS LACUS (12) is a maiden galloper resuming from a spell after finishing ninth over 1212m at Geelong at the latest appearance on June 21. Fitter for two trials, placing most recently. Can feature in the finish. GRACES GIFT (7) came home strongly last start to finish third, beaten one length, over 1150m at Te Aroha. Has good early toe so she should be handy in the run. Not to be discounted.
