RANDY (4) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by 2.5 lengths over 1500m at this track. Drawn to enjoy a nice run just off the speed. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. SMILE POPPY (6) doesn't win very often but ran a strong race last time out over 2000m at this track, finishing second and beaten half a length after being prominent at the turn. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. SALT ROCK (11) missed the placings two runs back then was always well out of her ground last start when 18 lengths away in 12th over 1400m at this track. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is right in contention. A SHIN HEMERA (2) comes here following a win over 2000m at this track three weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Generally goes well here with a win and six minor placings from 14 tries. Strong top-three chance.
