HORONUKU (2) finished second at New Plymouth Raceway two runs back but was less effective last time over 1400m at New Plymouth Raceway, finishing 10 lengths back in ninth. This is a nice drop in grade so he is likely to play a big role. GURTLYN (5) finished 4 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1200m at Wanganui five days ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Sure to run well. LADY PERFORMER (4) last appeared when she finished 12th over 1600m at Wanganui on November 23. Has to be respected. WURUHI (6) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at Hawera, beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
