BLACK SEA (1) ran a much better race at his second outing last start to finish second over 1650m at this track after being prominent at the turn. Ideally placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. DAMIANO (2) was well fancied but below his best at the last run before a break on 20/01/2025, finishing sixth over 1340m at Wanganui. Starts this prep with taking charge. Sure to return in good style. BIG EXIT (7) went forward last time but couldn't quicken in the run home and finished fifth over 1400m at this track. Suited in this line up and is among the better hopes. RUBYDUBYDO (9) could only manage to finish seventh, beaten 5 lengths, at her latest appearance over 1200m at Hawera. Cannot be ruled out in this suitable assignment.
