GELSEY (1) hasn't been far away lately, last time out finishing just 0.7 lengths back in fifth over 1200m at Mudgee. Has an outside gate but gets her chance to break through. NEWS BOUND (2) finished third when resuming from a spell last start over 1300m at Scone. Should be in this for a long way. FOX REIGN (4) showed little early speed then came with a powerful run to finish third last time out over 1600m at Quirindi. Will be running on late again. RATHORAN (6) finished second last time over 1190m at Grafton, beaten 5 lengths. Mitchell Bell gets the best out of this four-year-old gelding. Likely improver with winning claims.
