BOTANICA (4) finished seventh when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found a couple better over 1200m at Wyong, beaten only 1.75 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves plenty of thought. STRUFF (8) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by a nose over 1200m at Wyong. Fitter for that last hitout and is expected to run well again. ICONIC TREASURE (2) hit the frame two starts ago at Wyong but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 3.5 lengths over 1200m at Newcastle. Jay Ford gets the best out of this five-year-old gelding. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves another chance. EVERYONE'S A STAR (5) turned in another moderate effort last start when 4.5 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1300m at Rosehill. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
