M'S (7) impressed when successful as favourite on debut over 2000m at this track four months ago and has not been produced since. Will come on following that run and looks tough to hold out again. L'OTTOBRATA (6) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 2400m at Kyoto, scoring by a neck. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. R Wada was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. One of the likely contenders despite the step up in grade. SATONO CLOSER (2) is a handy type who resumes after a break of four months. Only appeared once last prep when he finished seventh over 2000m at Kyoto, beaten 16 lengths. This looks a nice way to kick off the prep.
