COGNITO (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at Matamata, beaten 8 lengths into tenth. Going up a level this time but he deserves another chance. KHAN HUNTER (4) ran tenth at his latest appearance over 3200m at Ellerslie, finishing 6 lengths from the winner. Big run expected. DROP OF SOMETHING (1) finished third at Trentham two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1500m at Matamata, finishing 6 lengths back in 11th. Has the class to figure prominently. THE ODYSSEY (3) returned from a spell three weeks ago when he was beaten 4.5 lengths into ninth over 1500m at Matamata. Strips fitter and can play a big role.
