AMALGAMATION (3) finished fourth two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by one length over 2230m at Gold Coast. No reason he cannot salute again. GANDOLFINI (6) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by 3.5 lengths over 2100m at Tuncurry. Finds a tougher race but a win is not out of the question. DARK THINKER (5) is yet to find the winners' list this time in work but has two placings from four starts this prep, finishing 1.5 lengths away in third most recently over 2110m at Lismore. One of the contenders. NATURE BOY (1) was beaten 13 lengths into eighth in a 1900m contest at Armidale last time out. No surprise to see him in contention.
