Placed to advantage so expect a big run. CRYPTIC VERSE (12) returned from a spell last start with a strong win by a neck over 1200m at Tuncurry. Will be better for that latest run and can go on with it. CASTEL TROSINO (1) finds it hard to win with two victories from 23 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when sixth over 2206m at Eagle Farm, beaten 4 lengths. Worth noting Chris Whiteley goes aboard. This doesn't look as hard so he is one of the main contenders. HARDLEY GREY (4) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 2 lengths over 1526m at Lismore. Looks well placed so expect a bold display.
