MICKEY'S MEDAL (4) ran below expectations last time after being in contention on the turn at Hawkesbury, finishing ninth and beaten 3.5 lengths starting at $9.50. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. COLOPHON (10) was sent out favourite last time and scored by 5.5 lengths over today's trip at Kembla Grange. Has a good record at this trip with two wins and one placings. Definite winning hope. YANKEE ONE (9) improved sharply on her seventh two starts back at Randwick Kensington with a win over 1400m at Warwick Farm three-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 1.4 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Worth noting Jason Collett goes aboard. Finds a tougher race but another big run will not surprise. ISTOLEA MERC (3) scored last start at Hawkesbury to make it three wins from five starts this campaign. Should camp just off the leaders. One of the better hopes.
